Service To Business Buyers

Buying a business may be one of the most important financial decisions you will make. A professional broker can help you find the right investment. We take time to get to know each of our prospective buyers; to know not only their qualifications and investment objectives, but also their goals, hopes, dreams, and needs. The key elements of our service to buyers are confidentiality, establishing your investment objectives, professional presentations, coordinating the process, and assistance in financing.

Confidentiality

Confidentiality is our number one priority. Most of our buyers are either currently employed or own their own business. Almost everyone has reasons why they do not want the fact they are considering the purchase of a business to be made public. Additionally, our buyers share with us information that they would not want to be publicly known. No one other than the owner of the business will know the prospective buyer's identity or any other information they may have shared with us.

Establish Your Investment Objectives

During a preliminary meeting we will typically ask the prospective buyer questions such as the type of lifestyle you want to live, your timeframe for buying a business, your background and experience, the resources you have available for investment in the business, and your expectations. These questions help us determine which of our listings are most likely to meet your goals and objectives.

Business Presentation

At the conclusion of our fact-finding discussion, we are ready to show you businesses that meet your needs and requirements. Since the seller is concerned about confidentiality, we will ask you to sign a confidentiality agreement. We will then provide you with preliminary information about one or more businesses, including pertinent financial information derived from the seller's tax returns. When you have found a business that you are interested in, we will arrange for your visit to the business and meeting with the owner. Once you have expressed a strong interest in a particular business, we will provide you with any additional information needed and schedule further on-site appointments and meetings with the owner. At this point you should have sufficient information to enable you and your advisors to make a decision to purchase the business.

Coordinating The Process

When you are ready to purchase a business we will assist you in preparing a Purchase and Sale Agreement based on the price and terms that make sense to you. We typically represent the seller, however we will assist a buyer in structuring an offer that may be acceptable to the seller.

Financing

Once a contract to purchase has been signed by both parties, our job is not finished. Almost every purchase requires some form of financing. We will assist you in obtaining appropriate financing. We prepare and present information packages to lenders and assist the lender in understanding the deal. Over the years we have assisted many of our buyers in obtaining financing and have established strong working relationships with many area lenders.
